1- Emergency Program

You will have lectures on the latest and most relevant topics in Emergency medicine, as well as doing hands-on clinical rounds. You will also have the chance to join surgeries and attend emergency related workshops.
  • In this course, you will attend lectures discussing the latest and most relevant topics in Emergency Medicine including ABCDE approach, acute coronary syndromes, chest trauma, abdominal trauma, acute abdomen and burn injuries.
  • You will also be given pretalks on how to do general, abdominal, cardiac and chest examinations, as well as Chest X-ray and ECG interpretations.
  • You will then have the chance to attend hands-on clinical rounds in the emergency department including the observation, trauma and resuscitation rooms. In these rounds you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learnt such as history taking, perform hands-on examinations and interpret X-ray films, and ECG traces.
  • For those interested in attending surgeries, you will have the chance to attend surgeries in different specialties as well.

2- Tropical Medicine and Infectious diseases Program

You will have lectures on the most common tropical and infectious diseases in Egypt. You will also attend hands-on clinical rounds and attend the endoscopy unit as well as the surgery room.
  • Participants will attend lectures and learn about important topics in tropical medicine and infectious disease relevant in Egypt including jaundice, hepatitis, liver cell failure, schistosomiasis and typhoid fever.
  • Students will also have the chance to take history from patients and perform hands-on examinations like general and abdominal examinations.
  • You will also be able to visit the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit and other units in the departments.
  • For those interested in attending surgeries, you will have the chance to attend surgeries in different specialties as well.

3- Plastic and reconstructive surgery:

You will get exposed to severe trauma patients and the latest protocols of the reconstruction ladder. You’ll attend lectures, clinical rotations, operations, as well as introduction to microsurgery. You’ll also get introduced to most of the aesthetic surgeries.
  • Our interactive curriculum includes lectures, case studies, and interactive workshops, allowing participants to develop a nuanced understanding of patient assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative care.
  • Participants will have the unique opportunity to observe live surgeries, interact with cutting-edge surgical equipment, and participate in simulated procedures to enhance their practical skills.

4- Dental/Maxillofacial Program:

You will have lectures, attend surgeries for maxillofacial fractures, visit dentistry clinics to learn about endodontics, dental extractions, and other common topics.
  • Participants will attend lectures and learn about important topics in Dentistry and Maxillofacial including maxillofacial fractures, periodontal disease, endodontics, orthodontics, orthognathic surgery and congenital and craniofacial deformities.
  • You will attend clinical rounds at our plastic surgery department and see cases with maxillofacial trauma and fractures.
  • You will have the chance to attend a dental clinic and observe all types of procedures done.
  • For those interested in attending surgeries, you will have the chance to attend surgeries in plastic and reconstructive surgery, dental surgeries and in different specialties as well.

5- Pharmaceutical Program:

You will have lectures on the most common clinical pharmacy topics, attend laboratory sessions, and pay visits to local pharmacies to learn about the system in Egypt.
  • Participants will attend lectures on important topics in Clinical Pharmacy including hepatitis and its treatment, antidiabetics and insulin, anticoagulants and schistosomiasis and arthropods.
  • You will attend sessions at our parasitology lab to learn about the most common parasites in Egypt, and have the chance to the parasites and their eggs on slides under a microscope
  • You will pay a visit to our local pharmacies, and learn about the system our local pharmacies follow including drug organization, ordering etc.

6- Diagnostic Radiology Program

You will have the chance to learn about radiography, Ultrasonography, CT, and MRI scans at our Radiology department.
  • Participants will attend lectures on important topics in diagnostic radiology including interpreting X-rays, plain radiography, CT (computed tomography) scans, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans, Ultrasound examinations and Nuclear medicine imaging techniques.
  • You will be able to attend at the radiology department to apply what you have learnt in the lectures regarding the interpretation of the difficult imaging techniques.
  • You will have the chance to learn how to perform The Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (FAST) Ultrasound.

7- Physiotherapy Program

You will attend lectures on applied anatomy and biomechanics and physiology and learn about physiotherapy clinical skills in clinical rotations.
  • Participants will attend lectures on important topics in physiotherapy including foundations of anatomy and clinical practice, injury and rehabilitation, motor control and decline and musculoskeletal practice.
  • Attend clinical practices and learn about  manual therapy, massage, stretching, posture correction and individualized exercise.
  • Learn about Cardiorespiratory physiotherapy used in patients with problems in their heart, lungs and circulatory system such as those who suffer from COPD, asthma and heart attacks.

8-Nursing Program

You will learn about the different roles of a perioperative nurse including holding bay, circulating, anesthetic, instrument or scrub nurse, and recovery room. As well as having real clinical practice.
  • Participants will attend lectures on important topics in nursing including critical care, operation theater techniques, obstetric nursing and principles of nursing services, administration, and supervision
  • Attend clinical rounds and learn about different types of injection (SC, IM, IV), to cannulation, blood sampling like ABG, VBG, as well as ECG electrode placement.
  • Attend operation theaters, ICU, and inpatient wards and observe our professional nursing teams

9- Architectural Program

You will have the chance to get introduced to ancient Egyptian architecture, Islamic, and Coptic architecture. You will attend lectures in basics of Arabic architecture as well as do hands-on projects together with your colleagues from all around the globe.

b) Mezmar and tanoura show

The Egyptian traditional Mezmar and Tanoura dance show is a mesmerizing spectacle that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Egypt. The performance combines the vibrant rhythms of the Mezmar, a traditional wind instrument, with the captivating spins and twirls of the Tanoura dancers, creating a visually stunning and spiritually uplifting experience.

As the music begins, the Tanoura dancers, dressed in vibrant and colorful costumes, enter the stage.
